The largest visa centre in Asia has opened in Karachi in coordination with United Arab Emirates (UAE) last Friday.
There are 11 counters in it, and it will offer consular services in line with the most recent global norms with service of issuing 200 UAE visas to citizens on a daily basis.
CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also visited the visa centre, was informed of its offerings. He was told that the centre had the power to grant work permits.
The new immigration centre in Karachi represents the “window of employment,” for which the CM Sindh congratulated the UAE government. He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to use this resource to assist residents of Sindh and Balochistan in finding jobs in the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE is home to more than 1.6 million Pakistani expats who work in both the public and commercial sectors and send more than $4 billion in remittances each year. The opening of the visa centre strengthens bilateral ties between the nations even further.
