Karachi: Pakistan has made to the final of Under-19 Asia Cup after beating Afghanistan today in the semi final by a huge margin of 151 runs, played at Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur.
Pakistan batting first scored a staggering total of 296 with an incredible batting display by Sami Aslam and Imam-ul-Haq scoring 77 and 69, respectively. Umar Waheed played an outstanding swift innings of 77 facing only 69 deliveries.
In reply, inexperienced and less talented Afghanistan bundled out to just 145 runs. Mohibullah Paak was the only batsman who showed some resilience against the Pakistani bowling attack. He scored 41 off 77 balls, other than him all the batting line proved to be just a matter of time, throwing their wickets at regular intervals.
Pacer Azizullah took four wickets for Pakistan giving 44 runs in almost nine overs. The remaining bowlers bowled much economically, leading the team to victory. Pakistan will now face the winners of second Semi Final, which is to be played tomorrow.
