Islamabad: Outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader Hakimullah Mehsud has issued special directives to the operatives of militant group to prepare for attack on International and National media organizations in diverse cities of Pakistan, BBC Urdu reported Saturday.
An interior ministry official, requesting anonymity told the media that agencies have got a recorded of a telephonic conversation between Taliban operative Nadeem Abbas alias Intiqami and Mehsud where the leader was instructing the operative to take action against media organizations.
According to the report, media organizations and personnel in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi and other cities who are criticizing Taliban for attacking Malala Yousafzai could face possible attack.
Meanwhile, the authorities have strengthen the security of media organizations and have also asked them to take certain measures in order to prevent possible attacks in this week.
