Shahzad Shahid was a proud representative of the Pakistani public sector in the trade delegation that had the honour to attend the conference at the California’s Silicon Valley. Shahzad Shahid is the CEO of TPS which provides in e-commerce and e-banking solutions. He was excited and optimistic about his visit, stating that he was excited on his returns on his investments in terms of exchange of knowledge and introduction to sources that would not have been possible privately.
TiE is a global network that aims at providing support to the new entrants through networking, education, financing and mentoring. Idris Kothari, the founding member and former president of OPEN (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs in North America) stated that it was vital to promote competition and efficiency in this sector of Pakistan and the joint efforts of TiE and OPEN will prove to be a catalyst in this process.
The networking opportunity at TiE and OPEN in the form of an informal event was more suitable for many delegates who attended the event, as they were able to share their works in a casual atmosphere. Sajid Soghail, CEO of Jadoo also attended the event and was able to talk about his TV attachment that airs all Asian channels at an affordable price. Chairman Ismail Shah hoped that these efforts will develop the power supply sector and improve connectivity in Pakistan.
