Karachi being the city of lights is now moving towards the dark. The claim behind this is based on the current circumstances in the city. In the holy month of Ramadan karachiites are suffering from electric breakdown for days and even weeks. This is not a new issue in the history of Pakistan but since the temperature is very high people are in miserable condition specially the old citizens, labors or should I call the less privileged people of Karachi.
The dilemma is that people are suffering from heat stroke and they did not get enough help from the hospitals as well. On top of that the government is not taking enough measures to control this energy crisis in Karachi. Moreover, there are uncountable deaths due to heatstroke but unfortunately there is not even enough space to bury the dead ones.
Moving on towards the morgues, even the space in morgues are not enough to occupy the dead citizens of Karachi. Given that account moving back to the lights of city, my opinion is we can definitely call this city the city of lights because if these conditions are uncontrollable and nobody is responsible for this. Sooner or later no human being will exist in Karachi and so only lights will be on streets. The humanity will lie beneath tons of sand seeing those lights.
