Hyderabad: The famous city of Pakistan is famous for several things but the popular bangles and traditional cuisines are the most famous things that can be brought from here. Likewise, ‘Thadal’ is considered as one of the most renown cuisines of Hyderabad.
It is a sweet drink, famous among the locals. The vendors display and prepare the traditional summer drink (Thadal) to attract the customers at their roadside setup. It has quite become the bread and butter for many and they seem too happy selling the traditional drink and earning their livelihood.
The ‘Energy Drink’ aspect is the specialty of Thadal as it is also used by Pehlwan (wrestlers) to gain some energy before coming face to face against the opponents.
The hot weather drink is made with the ingredients like Char magaz, Khashkhash, Pepper, Almonds, Pistachios and Pumpkin seeds.
Only half an hour is required for making a glass of appetizing drink which costs just 15 – 20 rupees per glass and easy on the pocket of all and sundry.
