Tablighi Jamaat is spread in all over the world, some of the major countries are: Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and many others.
History of Tablighi Jamaat:
The founder of Tablighi Jamaat is Muhammad Ilyas Kandhalwi, he wanted to create a movement which would give the teachings of Quran. It was the dream of his teacher Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi to create such movement.
Muhammad Ilyas abandoned his profession of teaching at Madrasah Mazahir Uloom in Shaharanpur and went on a mission of reforming Muslims. The movement was formally launched in Delhi during 1926 or 1927.
The slogan that was put forwarded by Muhammad Ilyas was “O Muslims! Become (true) Muslims”. The movement became popular in a very short time and nearly 25,000 people attended its annual conference in 1941.
Initially the movement wasn’t given any official name, but Muhammad Ilyas used to call it Tehree-e-Imaan.
The movement expanded in 1946, its first expansion was happened in South Asia after the partition of India. Its first group was created in Pakistan in Raiwind, Lahore. It remained the largest group until another chapter of Tablighi Jamaat established in Bangladesh after its separation from Pakistan.
Currently, the largest chapter of Tablighi Jamaat is in Bangladesh and the second largest is in Pakistan.
Tablighi Jamaat reached Southwest and Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and North America within two years of its establishment.

- In more than 218 countries, millions of people from social, sectarian and religious groups are part of Tablighi Jamaat.
- It is a non-political movement which is working for the spread of Islam.
- Tablighi Ijtema is one of the greatest gatherings of Muslims after Hajj.
- According to FBI report more than 50 thousand members are only in USA.
Ameer of Tablighi Jamaat in Pakistan:
Haji Abdul Wahab was the ameer of Tablighi Jamaat Pakistan. On November 18, 2018, Haji Abdul Wahab passed away at the age of 95 years. Haji Abdul in his will before death stated that, after his death these three names should be considered for next ameer which are as follows: Moulana Nazar Ur Rahman, Moulana Ahmad Butla and Moulana Ubaidullah Khurshid.
The leaders of the group after a long discussion appointed Moulana Nazar Ur Rehman as new ameer of Tablighi Jamaat. He will now head the group of Tablighi Jamaat in Pakistan.
Tableeghi Jamaat books are available online from where you can download them and read them. Some of the countries consider Tablighi Jamaat as terrorists, they that Tablighi Jamaat is exposed. There is no official website of Tablighi Jamaat.
