Islamabad: Cricket players of Pakistan team Shoaib Malik, Kmaran Akmal, Sharjeel Khan and Imran Farhat has been unsuccessful in the domestic tournaments. They were unable to enter the double figure. The domestic tournament is being played for the selection of upcoming T-20 world cup in March 2014. Umer Gul and Bilawal Bhatti with their out class bowling has played a key role for the victory of their team.
There are several local teams playing in the domestic cricket. In the tournament Islamabad Leopards has defeated Lahore Eagles by 17 runs. Karachi Zebras played an exciting match with Federal Areas Cheetahs and defeated them only by 1 run. In a 5 over per innings match Dera Murad Jamali Abacus has defeated Abbotabad Falcons by 11 runs.
According to details the first day of the National 20-20 was totally went in loss due to the heavy rainfall. Due the rainfall the administration decreased the number of over’s in which Lahore Eagles faced a terrible defeat by Islamabad Leopards by 17 runs.
These domestic tournaments are very much important. In such matches new players can get chance to join the Pakistani cricket team. It is the only way to select talented players from all over the country.
