Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualifies Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Panama case. The announcement was made by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan after Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa apologized for the delay.
The verdict was a unanimous decision of all five judges of the bench who based their decision on the investigation of JIT. Khan said that within 6 weeks material collected from JIT will be sent to accountability court to file cases against the ruling family, which includes:
- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
- Maryam Safdar
- Captain Muhammad Safdar
- Hassan Nawaz
- Hussain Nawaz
After the case a judgment will be passed within 30 days and the whole process of implementing today’s judgment will be overseen by one judge of Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court disqualified the Prime minister and ruled that he had been dishonest to parliament & courts & is not deemed to be fit for the post.
