Islamabad: In relevance to the case of verification of fingerprints in the election of four constituencies, the election commission has demanded details within a week about the federal workers and the staff on duty in these general elections. This latest development has been in response to the petition and complaint of Imran Khan moved into court, who insisted further inquiries on the report that the polling stations were void of any staff during these elections.
Imran Khan argued that none of the federal workers had been stationed in these constituencies as an election staff. Sources quote that the election commission will proceed by preparing a report on receiving details about the staff engaged during the elections. This report will then be submitted in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has meanwhile has postponed a hearing until 15 days.
Now it’s looking that hearing of this case may delay more than expectation as court is giving lots of days to Election Commission of Pakistan. Now let’s see what will happen in this regard in next 30 days. NADRA has already lost Chairman due to finger verification issue.
