London: The legends, super stars and the top talent who performed at the Olympic Games opening ceremony will be paid just one pound for their brilliant efforts, London Olympics 2012 management confirmed Monday.
According to the reports, Paul McCartney and other star performers at the Games launching ceremony were paid only £1 for their extra ordinary services.
However, the matter seems to be of no worry as a London 2012 spokeswoman clarified that the top talent basically gave their services for free, being a volunteer.
“But to have a proper contract for their efforts you have to show an amount, so that was lay down at a pound which allows them to have a contractual arrangement,” she added.
