Karachi: The City Zoo is all set to welcome the two expensive and fascinating White Lions to be imported from South Africa at a cost of Rs10 million, zoo officials informed Thursday. The new guests will be kept in a glass enclosure in order to give a safe access the visitors to come closer to the beautiful lions.
According to zoo officials, a home of glass enclosure for the lions is the first of its kind in the country. It is being decided just to make it easier for visitors to spot the jungle royals.
“The enclosure will be furnished from acrylic glass, similar to the material used for making windows for commercial planes which is hopefully to be completed by Sunday,” said the zoo’s director, Dr Karim Hussain. “The lions will land here next week. This is the first time we’ll have white lions in the country. No one has ever brought them here,” he added,
The zoo officials are looking too much excited on the coming of new posh lions and expecting a huge crowd on the first day of its appearance in the zoo.
