A well known poet of the Sindhi language, Professor Qalandar Shah Likhyiari has said that Sindh has been coined since ages as the centre of literature and culture as it has always supported the growth of knowledge and literature in the region. He said that Sindh had a prominent position in terms of spread of literary works and has been a hub for knowledge.
Qalandar Shah expressed his views during a conference held to honor the 22nd anniversary of Ghalib Sindh Faiz Bakshpoor. The conference was also attended by various other prominent writers and poets. The chief of guest at this event was Dr Abid Laghari. A welcome speech was given by Nawaz Ali Domki, who is considered as the spirit of the literature academy. Among the speakers were also present Asad Jamal Palli, Haji Muraad Ali Noor and Zahid Kamal.
The conference was presided by well known poet and educationalist Mazar Ayubi. Darbar Haq Bahu also attended the conference as a guest of honor. Professor Manzar Ayyubi, Shams Alghai and SIraaj-u-ddin, Qalandar Shah Likhyari, Dr Abid Laghari, Haji Muraad Ali Noor, Dr Asad Jamal Palli, Fazal-ullah Chandio, Zahid Khumaar, Anwar Khilji, Rashid Hussain, Wasim Sumro, Barkat Ali Domki, Ata Hussain, Nayyar Tariq and Abdul Quddus recired their works.
