Karachi: Former City Nazim Naimatullah Khan Advocate termed shortage of water supply and other basic necessities “a conspiracy” to deprive of the people of Karachi from basic requirements. He expressed these views while addressing an inaugurating ceremony of “Water Filter Plant” at Akhtar Colony under the aegis of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chapter.
Addressing the gathering, former City Nazim Naimatullah Khan said that the government has failed to provide clean potable water to the masses of Karachi. “Nowadays, the people of Karachi are deprived of basic facilities including water, power and others while the Jamaat-e-Islami whenever comes into power had worked for the welfare and progress of the people”, he added.
On the occasion, former City Nazim urged the people of Karachi to elect those representatives who serve them without any discrimination.

Speaking at the occasion, Hafiz Naeem said that the PPP and MQM are responsible for prevailing water crises; as if the K-4 water project could be completed on time then the people could not face such type of water crises.
He further alleged that the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB) and K-Electric both are involved in creating artificial water and power shortage in the city, adding that despite tall claims, the senators, MNAs and MPA could not resolve the issues of the masses.
Hafiz Naeem further said that large number of ghost employees are working in KWSB who draw their salaries from Water Board and working at Nine Zero; adding that Al-Khidmat serves the people without any discrimination. Hafiz Naeem further stated that the former City Nazim Naimatullah Khan had dig out around 1500wells in Thar under “Zam Zam Project”. He further said that the Jamaat-e-Islami leadership will continue to serve the people in the future without any discrimination.
Ameer District South Hafiz Abdul Wahid Shaikh, Zahoor Ahmed Jadoon, Ghayyas Abbasi and others also spoke on the occasion. On the occasion, the leaders of Insaf Students Federation (ISF) Jamshed Town including Yousuf Khattak, Siraj Khattak, Aamir Koharo, Aslam Jadoon, Sajid Barkat, Khurram, Syed Niaz Agha, Mubashir, Taj Nabi and others announced their joining in Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
