Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan has issued a notification regarding the National Assembly seat, vacant after the death of PPP leader Fauzia Wahab. The seat has now been allotted to PPP Sindh leader Shazia Marri as was reported few days earlier.
Shazia served as Sindh Information Minister twice and she currently holds the power portfolio in the Sindh cabinet. It is being said that due to the close relationship with the President, she is being chosen as the new National Assembly member, filling vacant place in the Assembly.
It is to mention here that Shazia Marri was also asked to take the NA seat when Pakistan’s Ambassador to US Sherry Rehman resigned from the seat, but she refused that time.
