
The exciting news of the cricketer Shahid Afridi opening up a restaurant “Lala Darbar” in Dubai offering authentic desi food; is in the air.

The cricketer seems to be excited for his new journey of opening up his own restaurant in Dubai.
The Instagram video shared by Afridi, clearly showed that he is giving the news of his plans regarding the initiation of this new venture and wrote, “one step closer to the big announcement”.
Shahid Afridi, currently engaged in PSL season as he is playing for Quetta Gladiators, has also stated on his Instagram that he is going to reveal other details soon regarding the restaurant in Dubai.
“Get ready to give your taste buds a mouth-watering triple tarka,” Afridi wrote with hashtags, his restaurant’s name, Lala Darbar.
Also, with this it is disclosed that the food offered in restaurant must be desi cuisine, the business page says the same “authentic desi chain”.
The details are still unveiled and it must be exciting to wait for the full-on menu details along with the choice of location.
The logo of the restaurant with Afridi’s famous pose and tag line “koi nahi iss jaisa” is accordingly interesting to his cricket’s passion.
It would be interesting to see the interior of the restaurant along with the menu details reflecting Afridi’s sports’ styles. Boom boom, Lala, Number 10 might be some of the catchy initial names of the dishes in the menu.
Afridi is not new in looking into some other business along with his cricket career.
He also owns a skincare line called Ooh Lala which is a premium quality range that offers quality personal care products.
Clothing brand called Hope Not Out is also Afridi’s leisurewear outlet for both men and women.
Afridi is not the only sportsperson in the food business; many sportsmen have already started food related ventures in Pakistan. Inzamam Ul Haq, Saeed Anwar and Shoaib Malik have all been successful in running food ventures.
“Meat One” is owned by Haq and Anwar whereas Malik owns a restaurant “The Rice Bowl” in Lahore.
