LAHORE: Lahore police have prepared a security plan in view of terrorism concerns on Eid Al-Adha. CCPO Ameen Venus, DIG operations Dr Haider Ashraf, SP security and other officials attended the meeting concerning the security plan for the Eid.
According to sources, the security plan has been divided into three parts which will ensure law or rules and regulations before Eid, on Eid and after Eid respectively. 6 SP’s, 35 DSP’s, 83 inspectors and lady constables including more than 5 thousands constables will be performing their duties at markets and Eid congregations.
Tight security arrangements have been made for Eid bazaars and markets, cattle markets, mosques and imambargahs, graveyards and entertaining places whereas special teams of quick response force have also been formed.
According to details, police commandos and constables will be performing their duties at 3 thousands and 587 mosques, 28 imambargahs and 126 important open places and large congregations whereas coordinated plan of parking stands is also being implemented. Monitoring through mobile CCTV coverage is also being done.
It is pertinent to mention here that the sitting government has imposed ban on banned outfits to collect hides of sacrificial animals on Eid Al-Adha. The banned groups will not be able to install their camps to collect the hides.
