The annual urs of Sufi saint Shah Abdullah Ghazi is observed according to Islamic calendar. Each year the three day event is held between 20-22 Zilhaj during which thousands of people visit the shrine.
Historians believe that Shah Abdullah Ghazi came to Sindh along with Muhammad Bin Qasim’s army and started preaching Islam in the province. The 8th century sufi devoted his life preaching the message of Allah but was murdered by enemies. It is said that his devotees then buried him in the hilltop which became an attraction for his followers.
