Reporter of Express Tribune Badly Beaten Up

express tribune reporter attackedKarachi: The reporter of local English Daily newspaper Express Tribune was badly beaten up few days back at Baloch Colony supposedly by the accomplices of former Nazim of the city, media based website reported. According to the report, Noman Ahmed, reporter of The Express Tribune in Karachi was assaulted on Thursday at Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The incident occurred on the Baloch Colony flyover when about four men in a silver car interrupted him and two of them beat him harshly, the Tribune reported Friday.

“They beat me around the face and head, I fell on the ground. The people watched the incident and no body came for rescue,” the paper quoted Noman as saying.

The paper said the assailants warned the reported to be more vigilant in future, otherwise he will not be spared.” The car used in the assault is registered to Chaudhry Muhammad Shareef, a former nazim of UC 2 in Maznoor Colony, the Tribune said.
