Reham Khan is British Pakistani journalist & author who was also the ex-wife of current Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is a brief biography about her story as a young student, journalist and as a wife.
She also wrote a autobiography which was widely discussed in Pakistani media due to allegations about Imran Khan’s personal life.
Early Life:
Reham Nayyar Khan was born on April 3, 1973 in Ajdabiya which is a city in Northern Africa. Her parents were of Pakistani origin and were from Pashtun origin.
Her father Nayyer Ramzan was a physician while her uncle Abdul Hakeem Khan was ex-governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Her uncle also served as Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court.
The family of Reham Khan belongs from Baffa, a small town near Mansehra in KPK Province. She has three more siblings, one brother and two sisters. Her mother currently lives in the garrison town of Rawalpindi.
Education:
She started her education in Libya where her family was settled, later she continued her education in Peshawar where her parents resettled after coming back to Pakistan. She holds a Bachelor Degree from Jinnah College for Women Peshawar.
In UK she started studies in Sociology but later chose post graduation in Broadcast Media at the Grimsby Institute, North East Lincolnshire.
Marriage:
Reham Khan claims that she was married at a young age (19 years) with her first cousin Ejaz Rehman.
First husband of Reham Khan was a successful psychiatrist in Britain with whom Reham Khan shifted to UK.
With her first marriage she gave birth to three children. Her son Sahir Rehman and daughters currently live with their father in England. In her memoirs Reham Khan revealed how she faced domestic abuse, she calls it a brutal marriage.
Media:
During her course Reham Khan got the chance to work with BBC for 4 weeks after which she joined LegalTV in May 2006. Later she started hosting & producing Breakfast News & Sport for Sunshine Radio Hereford.
In 2008 she joined BBC for the breakfast shift and the post of Broadcast Journalist. She remained part of BBC team till 2013 when she resigned and decided to move to Pakistan.

Marriage with Imran Khan:
In Jan 2015 Imran Khan revealed his marriage plan with British-Pakistani journalist Reham Khan. But rumors were circulating before months and later in her book Reham disclosed that they got married in October 2014.
The pictures of the wedding were circulated and valima was held but Reham claims that it was months after the marriage to fool people.
The marriage was short lived and within a year the husband and wife were not only divorced but became bitter enemies. They announced their divorce in October 2015 and later Imran Khan married his spiritual mentor Bushra Bibi.
Reham Khan Memoir:
Her book caused uproar due to the allegations that were made about the life and extra marital affairs of Imran Khan. Many people threatened to file case against her but she published her book.
Ijaz Rehman, former cricketer Wasim Akram, Zulfi Bukhari, Hamza Abbasi and Anila Khawaja all said they will take legal action against Reham Khan on defamation.
Social Work:
After her divorce she remained in media highlight due to the controversies surrounding her divorce with Imran Khan. Later she started working for social projects for the betterment of people.
