Rana Sanaullah has claimed that ‘Qadiyanis’ are not non-muslims, their creed is like us, they pray like us, they build their worship places (which he called masjids). After this statement he and PMLN leadership is facing opposition.
Rana Sanaullah is the law minister of Punjab and his statement calling Qadiyanis as muslims is against the constitution of Pakistan. The second amendment to the constitution of Pakistan reads:
“A person who does not believe in the absolute and unqualified finality of The Prophethood of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), the last of the Prophets or claims to be a Prophet, in any sense of the word or of any description whatsoever, after Muhammad (Peace be upon him), or recognizes such a claimant as a Prophet or religious reformer, is not a Muslim for the purposes of the Constitution or law.”
According to Ordinance XX Qadiyanis or Ahmadis are also prohibited from calling their worship places as Masjid or using words such as Sahabi, Razi Allahu Anhu or Ummul-Momineen for their leaders, their followers and wives.
Rana Sanaullah is punishable because of the second commandment and Ordinance XX.
