Rahul Dravid who was started called by Indian media as The Wall and now most of the media calls The Wall. Rahul Dravid is one of the most prolific batsmen of Indian cricket team over the ten years. But giving him the title of ‘The Wall’ is a very big thing. As the title suggests the batsman would have been bowled on only few occasions.
But Rahul ‘The Wall’ Dravid has been bowled on 53 occasions in Test cricket which is equal to former Australian captain Allan Border who has been bowled 53 times in Test cricket – the highest by any batsman. Dravid has also been bowled on 57 occasions in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
It is to mention that Dravid has played over 160 Tests and have retired from ODIs after playing 344 ODIs and therefore number of bowled is fine. But the question is that how a batsman who has been bowled on so many occasions and will certainly break the record of Allan Border can be called ‘The Wall’. It shows that how Indian media fabricates their players.
