ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif met today in Islamabad and discussed the security concerns being faced by the country. A statement issued from the Prime Minister House said that Raheel Sharif met Nawaz Sharif. The details of the meeting were not disclosed but the statement issued from PM House disclosed that both the leaders discussed the internal and external security concerns being faced by the country.
According to an adviser to the prime Minister, the meeting discussed important issues however, he didn’t also disclose the nature of the issues. It is pertinent to mention here that b both the leaders have met on the occasion when the cabinet session on Tuesday has been called to discuss the budget recommendations for the fiscal year 2015-16.
According to sources, Army wants increment in defense expenditure in the recent budget. The sources added that both the leaders also discussed the statement of Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar who said “to cope with terrorism of other countries, we need to resort to terrorism as well”.
