On Bakra Eid thousands of animals are slaughtered in each city of Pakistan because of which a shortage of Qasai (butcher) arises resulting in increased costs. Many people delay the slaughtering of animal to the second or third day of Eid to get butcher at a lower cost.
Many people believe that qasai at these rates are not available in Karachi for Eid ul Adha. We previously reported about the average cost of Qasai in big cities such as Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. In these cities small cows were being booked for an amount of Rs. 5000.
