The Purple Line and the Silver Line, two new bus routes, will be launched by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, respectively. Special perks for seniors and students will be part of the new offerings.
The Purple Line bus service would run along IJP Road, according to information released to the media by the CDA Chairman’s office, while the Silver Line will leave from Taramri.
The Blue Line bus service will be extended to Rawat to help passengers even more.
Children under the age of 10 ride free on both bus services, while students and those over the age of 60 pay only half the regular ticket.
Purple Line bus service would be advantageous for those who reside in Pirwadhai, Khyaban-e-Sir Syed, Dhoke Najju, New Katarian, Dina, Pindora, Shamsabad, and the I-9, I-10, and I-11 sectors, which are close to IJP Road.
For these new services, the original plan planned for the procurement of 300 brand-new buses. To purchase new buses, the civic agency will probably get in touch with China once more.
An official commented on the development and said:
The introduction of two new bus routes is a part of the efforts being made to offer the public a contemporary transportation system at incredibly low costs. These services will be available in those locations that the Metro Bus does not currently serve.
