The Government of Punjab will distribute 100,000 cars to unemployed youth of Punjab under a new initiative ‘Orange Cab’ scheme.
The announcement was made through the official twitter account of Punjab Provincial government where it was announced that Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting regarding Orange Cab scheme where it was decided that the scheme will be launched in the current year.

Formation of a cabinet committee was also decided which will formulate suggestions for the Orange Cab Scheme. Previously under ‘Apna Rozgar Scheme’ Punjab Government distributed 50,000 cars to the unemployed youth of the province.
CM Shehbaz Sharif said that this will increase earning opportunities for the people and the living standard of thousands of families will be upgraded.
During the meeting CM also reviewed the digital systems for payments which will reduce corruption and provide easily accessible service to the people of Punjab.
In ‘Apna Rozgar Scheme’ applications were submitted online after which balloting was held. It is believed that the registration procedure for Orange Cab Scheme will also be similar.
