Lahore: The government of Punjab has decided to bring fishes into play in order to control the spread and eradicate dengue larvae through out the province this year, government sources informed Monday. According to the sources, the fisheries department of Punjab government will provide the locals free fishes for pools, and fountains.
The government has adopted a biological strategy to tackle the spread of deadly dengue fever across the province that affected hundreds of people last year.
Earlier, on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, the offices of Punjab Government and City District Government Rawalpindi remained open on Sunday in connection with anti-dengue campaign.
