Islamabad: The Interior Ministry has announced four day public holidays from 26th October to 29th October on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakra Eid Holidays) all across the country. The notification in this regard has already been issued by the Interior Ministry, sources told Friday.
Earlier, Pakistan’s central Roet-e-Hilal Committee announced that the Eid would be celebrated in the country on October 27. The meeting was presided by the committee chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman to sight the Zil Hajj moon in the country.
Eid ul Azha (one of the two Eids for Muslims) will be observed on 26th October all across the world including Saudi Arabia. In Sub-continent it will be observed a day after.
It is to mention here that usually a dispute occurs between clerics of Peshawar and Mufti Muneeb over moon sighting issue, however, this time it did not fortunately.
