Last night I was reading a story named “The Land where one never dies”. Its author name is “Italo Calvio” and translated by George Martin in 1995. Italo was born on 15th October 1923 & died on 19th September 1985. He was an Italian Journalist and writer of stories and novel.
Summary of that story was a young man wish to search of the land where one never dies. He took along his mother, Father and all family members and go for search of the land were one never dies. For days and months he walked and ask everybody but no one knew about that place.
In short one day he meets a carter with a cart full of old shoes and drawn by an ox. He had only one foot and other still in stirrup, when the carter grabbed his arm and said, “I have you at last! I am dead!”.
In this story the author expose psychology of human, they do not want to die and always live there but it’s not possible because everything of the world is not enduring, can never escape to death. Moreover many relations have appended with his and the man never wants to lose, but one day we have to depart.
