Karachi: Professor Mohammad Rias Alvi has been appointed as the director of Khadim Ali Shah Institute of Technology (KASBIT). This decision was finalized by the chairman and Chancellor of KASBIT, Arif Ali Shah Bukhari. According to the sources, Professor Mohammad Rias Alvi has already taken charge of his duties since the last few days and has taken charge of this post.
Professor Mohammad Rias Alvi is a qualified professional and has served at various posts and capacities at various institutes. He has been the registrar of Karachi University and has been the first leader of the charter committee. He has also served as the vice chancellor of Shehbaz Qalandar University and was also the Rector of New Ports University. He has also worked for several years with the University of Foreign studies as a guest professor.
Professor Mohammad Rias has numerous achievements to his name. He was awarded for his contributions in the academia by the local and international institutes as well. He has also written various books on Urdu and Japanese literature and poetry. Five of his books have been published from Japan alone.
