Lahore: Due to strike of PIA employees, other private airlines running in Pakistan has increased there air tickets and fare charges to almost double than usual rates. Since PIA flights are being cancelled due to unavailability of human resource. Yesterday PIA employee protest was maneuvered into a bloodbath, when allegedly security forces opened fire on protestors. On the other hand Rangers officials claim that they did not open fire on the protesters. Whereas government is privatizing PIA because of the huge losses.
The whole issue has popped up because of privatization of PIA, the government changes its narrative to semi privatization but still the employees of PIA are not moving by it. Hence they all went on strike seizing the planned flights of PIA.
Now the passengers have moved to Railways for local traveling since they cannot afford doubled prices of the airways. Passengers are facing extreme difficulties due to this situation.
