
Government has announced Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme for 2023 for which applications are being accepted online through their official website after which around 100,000 students from across Pakistan will be able to receive laptop based on their merit.
This scheme was launched in 2014 under Ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the purpose was to provide laptops for brilliant students so that they can have digital access to information and may excel in their field through the available resource.
Application Process:
If you are a student and want to apply for Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme then the method is very simple, just follow these steps:
- Visit the official laptop scheme registration portal
- Enter your CNIC Number to start the registration process
- Provide the required data to complete the registration, such as Name, email, phone number, Address, university, program, enrolment date, city, etc.
- After providing all details in the digital application form, submit it.
Through these simple steps you will be successfully registered in the laptop scheme. Students can also check status of their application.
Eligibility Criteria:
Under the Prime Minister Youth Programme students who fulfill the following criteria can apply for laptop:
- Students with valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or B Form.
- Must be a valid student at the time of applying
- Student enrolled in Graduation, Masters, PhD, Diploma, etc.
The following students are not eligible to apply:
- Students who have received laptop through Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2022 or earlier
- Students who are enrolled in private universities
- Foreign Nationals
Remember that there is a specific quota for each campus with total quota of 100,000 laptops for whole Pakistan, which means only the best applicants will receive laptop. The merit of student depends on his accumulative GPA, GPA of other students in his campus, number of applicants from his campus and the quota for his university.
Due Date:
The last date to submit your submission for PM Youth Laptop Scheme is 30 June, 2023. It is expected that the due date may be extended like previous similar schemes.
