Faisalabad: The brother of a member of the provincial assembly PML-N MPA Malik Nawaz and his security guard allegedly beat up a traffic warden near Rail Bazaar on Tuesday. After the news on the media, Chief Minister has taken a notice in accordance with law and ordered to take action.
News reportedly, warden Rashid Javaid said that he was on duty at Gol Rail Bazaar where Malik Nadeem, MPA Malik Nawaz’s brother, parked his car in desecration of rules. The warden asked the driver, who introduced himself as brother of Malik Nawaz, to move the vehicle that led to an exchange of words. Hearing words, the guards started to thrash the warden and also tore his uniform.
The police officers arrived quickly when the warden reported about the incident and try to resolve the issue, a police officer requesting anonymity said the chief minister had taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Faisalabad regional police officer.
The warden had hit his driver’s face and “it is mistaken that my guards had started to beat the warden on parking issue”, MPA Malik Nawaz said. Some onlookers helped the warden and the defendants managed to move away.
Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Malik son of Malik Muhammad Yousaf was born on January 2, 1971, belongs to a famous businessman and political family of Faisalabad. His father was a Member of Punjab Assembly during 1985-88. He graduated in 1990 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2008.
