Pink Peoples Bus Service Karachi – Routes, Ticket Price & Rates

Sindh Government launched Pink Peoples Bus Service after successful launch of People Bus Service in Karachi, Larkana and Hyderabad. These pink buses are dedicated for women, providing them safe & luxurious transportation on different routes at affordable ticket prices and rates.

In recent years Karachi has seen multiple transportation services included different routes of the BRT, Peoples Bus Service, Electric Buses and Karachi Circular Railway Train Service.

Pink Bus Route:

Initially the Pink Bus Service is launched in Karachi with a focus to facilitate working women and female students. The first route of the Pink Peoples Bus Service would be from Model Colony to Merewether Tower, covering the whole Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The following stops and locations will be covered by the first route of the bus service:

  • Model Colony
  • Malir Halt
  • Wireless Gate
  • Star Gate
  • Shah Faisal Colony Gate
  • Natha Khan
  • Drigh Road
  • PAF Museum
  • Awami Markaz
  • Laal Kothi
  • Baloch Colony
  • Nursery
  • FTC
  • Regent Plaza
  • JPMC
  • Cantt Station
  • Metropole
  • Art Council
  • Regal Chowk
  • Aram Bagh II
  • Chundrigar Road

It is expected that in next phase new routes will also become operation, extending the women only bus service to North Karachi, Surjani, Orangi Town and Korangi. Provincial Government of Sindh is also planning to launch Pink Taxi Service as announced by Faryal Talpur.

Timing:

During Office hours the buses will pass through each station and stop after 2o minutes, and after office hours the interval will be 1 hour. Like people’s bus service it is expected to be available from 7 am in the morning till 10 PM in the night.

Ticket Prices:

The ticket price is Rs. 50, as per announcement of Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon. It is similar to the ticket prices for Peoples Bus Service which is also active on the same route.

The women only bus service is also part of Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) which is established to address the transportation needs of citizens in the metropolitan city of Karachi. The SMTA also declared that these pink buses will have women bus conductors.
