Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan International Airline (PIA) is facing daily loss of Rs. 100 million. He said that politics is done in national carrier and few of political parties are backing it. PM Nawaz added that doing strikes in PIA is conspiracy against Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif applauded those employees of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) who are not taking part in strikes and was of the view that they will be rewarded. He said that those who are taking part in strike will be sent to prison for 1 year.
Meanwhile Sindh Chief Minister has announced Rs. 2 million for two deceased employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Both of these employees died while protesting at Jinnah Terminal in Karachi. Law enforcing agencies baton charged the protesters whereas also used water-cannons, tear gas as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called for implementation of the Essential Services Act.
One the other hand Rangers and Police has denied all such reports that they handled protesters violently.
