The passengers flying for long routes shall be entertained with in-flight sms and call services. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced of the new services while flying its Boeing-777 aircrafts. Mashoor Tajwar, the PIA spokesperson told that the passengers would be facilitated with the services with payment of additional fee, paid through the credit cards.
PIA is likely to introduce in-flight email services soon. Last year it had been reported through the media sources that the international airline plans to offer in-flight internet services to its passengers. The services shall be introduced to the long route travelers destined to visit Europe, Canada and US in Boeing PIA aircrafts, said the PIA Managing Director Junaid Yunus.
PIA can fly to over 45 countries as permitted by the air services agreement, but the shortage of the aircrafts prevent it from covering even the majority of the countries. Yunus said direct international flights would help the PIA to regain considerable share. The airline is said to enjoy huge brand following.
PIA being the sole international airline of the country upgrades its facilities and services to its passengers. Poor management and financial services however often lead to crisis, flight delay, engine failures and other issues, posing problems both for the employees and the passengers.
