Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Eleven defeats British Army eleven by a margin of 45 runs in the first Twenty20 friendly match played at Pindi Stadium yesterday. While batting first, PCB eleven scored a hefty target of 165 at the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. The target prove out to be too much for the British Army team as they were bundled out to a score of just 120 runs in 19.2 overs.
For Pakistan, Babar Azam turned out to be the key player as he scored unbeatable 62 runs and led his team to a target of 165.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf said that the match between PCB eleven and British eleven proves that Pakistani soil is now all set to host International matches. He added that cricket will return to Pakistan very soon.
