LAHORE: Senior Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Khwaja Muhammad Saad Rafique has said that the payment of every single penny of railway pensioners at Lahore would be ensured. He said that the bank officials are charging 300 to 500 rupees as bribery from each pensioner for the payment of pension. The issue of pensioners including the death of a pensioner would be raised in 28th October rally of PML-N and in the sessions of National Assembly and Senate.
This he said while talking to media after during his visit of Mogulpura Workshop to show solidarity with the railway pensioners here on Wednesday. He said that he was informed by the pensioners that the bank employees are charging 300 to 500 hundred rupees as bribery, adding that they should be ashamed of it; meanwhile he said that he will talk to the president of National Bank regarding the behavior of bank officials.
He demanded from the government to immediately pay the pensioners, adding that the pensioners should pay before Eid-ul-Azha and corrupt employees of band should be transferred; meanwhile he also demanded to make extra counters for the payments of pensions.
He said the bank should work for twenty four hours to pay the pensions, adding the payment in time for pensioners should be ensured and make railway functional and save it from dying.
