Riyadh: Saudi government has decided to take action against private schools on the complaint of parents who increase tuition fees without permission. Parents would be able to complain to the Ministry of Education against increasing tuition fees of private schools.
According to Saudi news agency, an application form has been provided to the parents for their grievance redressed by the Ministry of Education as forms can be downloaded from the web site of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education. Besides, fixed tuition fee schedule has been released for private and international schools by the Education Department so that parents can compare pay fees with it.
In this context, the Ministry of Education said parents can be sent a filled application form to the Education Department immediately in case of complaint at which the immediate action will be taken. The Ministry has warned that if complain of parent will be prove right then strict action against the relevant school will be taken.[junkie-alert style=”white”] It is pertinent to mention that that the Saudi Ministry of Education approved 20 % increase in fees of 932 private schools in September 2013.[/junkie-alert]
Mohammed Eid Al Otaibi, director of private and international schools at the ministry said that increase in fees was demanded by the all private schools but we allowed only 21 percent of fees in this regard. But in case of raising fees on their own, schools will have to face strict action for their illegal action.
