Pakistani Citizen Naseem Akhtar has become the first Pakistani to won the Under-18 Snooker World Championship. He won the title at International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF).
Naseem Akhtar competed with Chinese player Peifan Lei for the title. He won by 5 frames in comparison with Lei’s three though in the start Lei was in the lead but Akhtar gave a great come back.
To reach the final he played against Israel’s Amir Nardeia and won with a clean victory of 4-0 against Nardeia.
Naseem Akhtar thanked Pakistani people for supporting and giving him the opportunity. The thanked Snooker Association for their support in a video message posted online.
