Pakistani student Taimour Iftikhar secured third position in the 43rd International Physics Olympiad competition held in in Estonia (located in Europe) from 15th to 24th July. Students from 81 countries participated in the event. Taimour Iftikhar is a student of Rangers Public School & College located in Mandi Bahauddin.
Taimour Iftikar after reaching Pakistan was received by the principle of Rangers Public School & College, Mandi Bahauddin. School staff and students were also present at the airport.
Hungary student grabbed the first position whereas student from China was at second. International Physics Olympiad is an annual physics competition for high school students which is held from 1967.
Recently Pakistan has won International Debate Competition held in Mexico.
