Pakistan Welfare Association Jeddah hosted a prestigious event in honor of Frontline Pakistani Doctors Fighting Corona Virus in Saudi Arabia, which was attended by a large number of doctors, community members, business, social and political figures and consulate officials. The special guest of the ceremony was Consul General Jeddah Khalid Majeed.
Jeddah Welfare Association President Pervez Qureshi gave a welcome address and thanked the guests. The event was presided over by Bashir Khan Swati, Chairman of the Forum.
The special guest of the ceremony, Consul General Jeddah Khalid Majeed, said in his address that Pakistanis, wherever doctors are, are at the forefront of serving their brothers and country without caring for their lives. Pakistani doctors and philanthropists have fought day and night against Covid-19 and helped their brothers.
I pay tribute to all of you who have not only served Saudi and Pakistani community but also made your country proud and famous. He further added.
Bashir Khan Swati, Pervez Qureshi, Saudi journalist Sameera Aziz, Riaz Shaheen Afridi of PTI also addressed the function and highlighted their services to the doctors fighting on the front line against Covid-19.
At the ceremony, Doctors, Dr. Ziaullah Dawood, who has also received an award from the Government of Saudi Arabia, thanked from the bottom of his heart for the encouragement from Forum members.
While Dr. Arshad, Dr. Rabia Khatun and Dr. Tuba Chaudhry in their respective speeches thanked the entire team of Pakistan Welfare Association and the Consulate for their cooperation.
Dr. Naeem Khalid Chaudhry Shaheed, Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, Dr. Syed Bilal Shah, Dr. Syed Wahaj Junaidy, Dr. Rabia Khatun, Nutritionist Adiya Wahaj, Dr. Farzana Iqbal, Dr. Arshadullah Khan, Dr. Hasnain Gilani, who fought on the front line against Karuna. Dr. Gulnaz Yousaf, Dr. Mohammad Amjad Obaid, Dr. Mohammad Athar Sadiq, Dr. Ziaullah Khan Dawar, Dr. Mohammad Kashif and others were given honorary shields by the forum.
At the end of the event, Raja Muhammad Bashir, General Secretary of the Forum, thanked the guests for attending the event and offered special prayers for the victims of the Karwana virus and the victims of the 8th October earthquake.
