Pakistani couple came for Umrah about six months ago. The lady was pregnant. At the end of their Umrah the woman health issue developed and she gave birth to a premature baby of just six months old pregnancy. The baby girl was put into an incubator with bleak chances of survival.
The couples visa got expired and they didn’t have money to stay back so they left for Karachi. The baby survived and got better. The hospital contacted the immigration department who contacted Pakistan House at Madina. They traced the parents in Karachi. Their case was sent to the foreign office Islamabad who got the visas of both the parents affixed. The consulate sent the case to the foreign office which got their visas stamped. The couple reached now. They handed them the baby and after getting legal formalities completed the baby will travel back to Pakistan.
Mainly three people dealt with the case, Ch Abdul Waheed of Ministry of Hajj who coordinated with local hospital at Madina Basit Abbasi Counsel Welfare wing who contacted the couple and got all paper work and formalities completed with local authorities and Shehryar Akbar Khan who sent the case to foreign office Islamabad and pursued there and got the visas affixed for the parent to travel to Saudi Arabia.
