One of Pakistan televisions most senior and popular actors, Tanveer Jamal expressed his intentions of stepping into the film industry of Pakistan. He revealed this while talking to a local newspaper and he said that he was working on the script of a new film for Lollywood. He seemed satisfied with the new direction taken by the film industry and said that new ideas and the involvement of the youth were essential for the progress of the industry.
Tanveer Jamal started his work on Pakistan television in 1988 under another famous director Kazim Pasha. He found success in only his second drama serial when his role as Dr. Nasir in the serial “Raat Rait Aur Hawa” earned him praise from audiences in 1991.
He continued his good performances and made a name for himself with serials like “Kasak” and “Anchal”. He then turned his attention to direction and production when he opened his production house in 1993 and is considered one of the pioneers of private television production with many successful projects.
Being one of the senior members of Pakistani television he believes that a person stays young as long as he has a passion for his work and is ready to try new things and he hopes to play his part for the betterment of the film industry. Mr.Tanveer was hopeful that auditions for casting would soon begin for his new film.
