Pakistan cricket team was defeated by India in the final and third One Day International (ODI) by 10 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first. India were bowled out for 167 in the 44th over. Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni once again was the highest scorer for India as he scored 36 runs of 55 balls with one four and three sixes. Suresh Raina scored 31 runs.
Number one ranked bowler in ICC bowlers ranking Saeed Ajmal took his career best figures of 5/24. Mohammad Irfan also took two wickets. Junaid Khan, Umar Gul and Mohammad Hafeez bagged one wicket each. In reply Pakistan were all out in the 48th over. Captain Misbah-ul-haq scored 39 runs and opener Nasir Jamshed scored 34 runs of 64 balls (five 4’s). Umar Akmal contributed 25 runs of 50 balls. Ishant Sharma took three wickets for India.
Pakistan and India Twenty20 International series were drawn 1-1, whereas Pakistan won the first One Day International (ODI) by six wickets. Green shirts also won the second One Day International (ODI) by 85 runs.
