Lahore: The advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Begum Zakia Shahnawaz has warned that if the increase in population of Pakistan is not taken under control then the country would become world’s 5th most populous country by 2050.
While addressing the event yesterday regarding Population Welfare Department, she said that the population of Pakistan has increased to five times since its creation. Its population has been increased to the population of Japan, Nigeria, Russia and Bangladesh.
A fifth of our population is living under extreme poverty and on every 20 minutes a woman dies due to maternal complications been faced in the country.
