Pakistan Need Dams To Overcome Energy Crisis

While searching on Internet, I read that in USA there are more than 75000 dams, where as in India there are 4000 dams. Pakistan who is suffering badly because of power shortage has only 20 dams.

In China the Three Gorges Dam which is almost completed will produce 22500 MW electricity. If this dam would have been built in Pakistan it would have solved the electricity problem in Pakistan, as now a day’s almost 22000 MW is required for Pakistan.

But the point to be noted is that in 2020 Pakistan expected demand for electricity will be 40000 MW.

This energy crisis has affected Pakistan very badly and according to Renowned nuclear scientist and member Planning Commission for Science and Technology Wing Dr Samar Mubarak Mand that the country is facing the loss of Rs 300 billion per year and 400000 people have become jobless.
