
Public holidays for the year 2022 have been announced by the Cabinet Division.
Most of the public holidays in Pakistan are coming on Sunday.
– 5th February (Saturday) Kashmir Solidarity Day.
– 23rd March (Wednesday).
Pakistan Day.
– 1st May (Sunday) Labour Day.
– 3rd, 4th and 5th May (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Eidul Fitr.
– 10th, 11th and 12th July (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) Eidul Azha.
– 7th and 8th August (Sunday and Monday) Ashura Days.
– 14th August (Sunday) Independence Day.
– 9th October (Sunday) for the auspicious occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi PBUH.
– 25th December (Sunday) Quaid-e-Azam Day.
Apart from above mentioned holidays, the banking sector has been assigned two additional days 1st January and 1st July as holidays for public.
However, the banks will remain operational for the employees.
The holidays which are specifically for the Muslim festivals and events are dependent on the sighting of the moon for which the notifications will be issued accordingly.
Many arrangements have been made in organizing special events by different public and private sectors in the country for Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5th February.
The event will be marking between Friday and Saturday to motivate Kashmiris and support them in their efforts and continuous determined attempts for themselves.
