Karachi, Tehran, and St Petersburg: Pakistan Government is taking interest in currency swap for bilateral Trades with other countries. President Zardari discussed Currency swap issue with Turkish President Abdullah Gul. According To president’s spokesperson, both countries are ready to finalize currency swap agreement. Pakistani president talked about this issue during latest turkey visit.
Yesterday, President Zardari met Chinese investors and invites them to invest in Pakistan. President Zardari also talked about currency swap agreement to increase trades between both countries. Pakistan – Sri Lanka currency swap Agreement is also under discussion and Pakistani government is looking for more countries for currency swap.
It is worth mentioning here that During President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to Iran, Zardari suggested Pak-Iran currency swap to enhance economic situation and bilateral trade. There are chances that this issue will further discuss in Ahmadinejad’s upcoming Pakistan visit.
