Foreigners who want to visit Pakistan can obtain E-visa through online method which is simple with few requirements. It was launched by Government of Pakistan to increase tourism in Pakistan.
Currently the online visa facility is available for selected countries but the government plans to expand it for 175 countries in the future:

Processing Time:
The processing time for evisa will be between 7 to 10 working days. It aims to make the visa process easy, simple and more efficient for visitors.
Types of Visa:
Through online evisa facility you can apply for different types of visa:
Tourist Visa:
Three types of visas are available in tourist visa category, which are:
1) Tourist Visa
2) Tourist Visa On Arrival
3) Family Visit Visa
The documents requirement for this category includes:
- Photograph
- Passport
- Invitation Letter by the sponsor or hotel booking details in case of individual tourist
- Invitation Letter in case of group by the tour operator designated by the department of tourist services
- POC or likewise Marriage certificate, Birth Certificate, CNIC/NICOP (For Family Visit Visa)
Business Visa:
You can apply for Business visa or get your business visa on arrival if you are from the selected countries. The requirements for Application Form of Business Visa are:
- Photograph
- Passport
- Proof of registration of company which is extending invitation (SECP/ Chamber of Commerce Certificate)
- Any of the following:
- Recommendation letter from CC&I of respective foreign country
- Invitation letter from business organization duly recommended by concerned trade organization in Pakistan
- Recommendation letter by the honorary investment counselor of BOI/Commercial Attaché
Student Visa:
Two year student visa is also given to students for which the requirement includes:
- Photograph
- Passport
- Admission/Bonafide letter
- NOC from HEC/Economic Affairs Division/IPC/Health Ministry/Education Ministry
- For Entry visa: NOC from the concerned Government
- For Extension: NOC from concerned embassy in Pakistan of students country
- Sponsorship/Bank Statement in case of accompanying family)
Work Visa:
Employees and workers who want to apply for Pakistani evisa are as follows:

- Contact Details of the Sponsor
- Recommendation Letter by BOI
- Employment agreement between company and applicant
- Undertaking on company letterhead/In case of CPEC/Government approved project, letter from concerned department /ministry
- CV of applicant
- Covering letter on company’s letter head

- FBR NTN certificate of the company
- Previous Recommendation by BOI/MOI (if applicable)
Tableegh Visa:
45 day tableegh visa is also provided for which the requirements are:
- Photograph
- Passport
- Invitation Letter by the authorized Tableeghi Centre
Missionary Visa:
Christians from anywhere in the world can apply for missionary visa for which the requirements include:
- Photograph
- Passport
- Invitation Letter of the registered missionary organization
Journalist Visa:
Journalist Visa applicable for Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi for which the requirement is as follows:

- Passport
- Letter from Media Agency/Organization
- Recommendation from Ministry of information and broadcasting/Press Attaché/Pak Mission Abroad.
Diplomatic Visa:
All diplomatic staff from other countries can apply for diplomatic visa for which the requirements are:

NGO VISA:
NGO members and family members can apply for NGO visa for which requirements are:

- Proof of Registration of the NGO/INGO
Domestic Aide:
Domestic workers can also live under the sponsorship of their employers, the requirements are as follows:

- Passport
- Contact Details of the Employer
- Copy of agreement duly attested by respective embassy
- NOC by the Respective Embassy
Other Visas:
Citizens who want to participate in any sports event, seminars, conferences and cultural events can apply for visa. The requirement includes:

- Invitation letter from host organization
Visa Processing Fees:
The visa processing fees will depend on the category of the visa, whether applicant is applying for single or multiple visit visas and the country from where the applicants belong to. The charges for a single entry Business visa for China are $8.18 while for Turkey is $100.
